This Next Chapter Means Letting Go…Of Something Good, For Something Better
You know that feeling when something inside you shifts, and suddenly the work you've been doing (work you used to love) just doesn't fit anymore?
That's where I found myself.
This isn't just a business update. It's the closing of a chapter I poured my heart into…and the beginning of something more aligned than I ever imagined possible.
If you've been around for a while, you know Profit & Lattes was built on spreadsheets, month-end reconciliations, income statements, and a whole lot of love. I built a financial management company that helped women-run businesses get their numbers in order, reduce their stress, and reclaim control over their finances.
And for years, it worked. It served. It mattered.
But over the past year, everything changed.
Menopause Knocked Me Off My Feet and Into a Different Purpose
What started as small symptoms turned into full-blown burnout. Brain fog made it hard to speak in full sentences. Fatigue made getting through the day feel impossible. Anxiety I'd never experienced before took over. Despite working with doctors, specialists, and therapists, it took me a long time to realize I wasn't just tired or overwhelmed…
I was in menopause.
And I was falling apart while trying to keep a business running.
So I stepped back. I had to.
That's when the magic of my team (especially Lisa) became my lifeline.
Lisa Didn't Just Step Up…She Held It All Together
Lisa has been with me through some of the hardest moments in my life and business. She didn't just help with client work, she became the front line. She supported our clients (and our team members) with a level of calm, care, and consistency that is rare to find.
While I was trying to make it through the day without crying or giving up on everything, Lisa was keeping the business running. She helped the team, answered emails, cleaned up accounts, managed deadlines, and did it all with the kind of grace and quiet brilliance that doesn't always get recognized the way it should.
Lisa didn't just work at Profit & Lattes. She was the heartbeat of it during one of its most fragile times.
So it feels incredibly bittersweet to share that she's heading off to write her own next chapter.
She's getting married, moving to the U.S. with her sweetie, and taking a well-deserved break from the world of numbers and month-ends.
In true Lisa fashion, she's giving us all the time and support we need to transition smoothly, so June will be her final month, and she's working closely with each client to make sure they're set up for success before she goes.
Which Brings Me To The Biggest Decision I've Made This Year
I'm officially closing the financial management arm of Profit & Lattes.
This was not a decision I made lightly.
This was something I built from scratch. It supported so many of our clients over the years. It created jobs. It built community. It made me feel like I was doing real, valuable work.
But after stepping back to care for my health, I came back with a new perspective… and a new purpose.
I can't do it all. And more importantly, I don't want to do it all anymore.
I've spent the last year slowly untangling what's mine to carry, and what needs to be let go. And the truth is: my heart is no longer in bookkeeping. It's in coaching. It's in helping other women navigate what I went through…running a business while feeling like you're losing your mind and your body.
And that work deserves my full attention.
I Couldn't Have Made It Here Without My Team
Over the years, I've been blessed with incredible team members. Smart, kind, capable women who poured their energy into making Profit & Lattes what it is. They believed in my mission. They treated our clients like their own. They helped me grow this business while I was growing into the next version of myself.
There were times I wanted to quit. Times I didn't think I could keep going. Times I was too sick or too broken to show up the way I wanted to. And every single time, they showed up for me and for our clients.
Teamwork like that is sacred.
But I've also learned the hard way that just because something works doesn't mean it still fits.
And as I look forward to this next chapter, I know it's time for me to respect my limitations, let go of the team structure that got me here, and step into this next season on my own.
So What Happens Next? The New Profit & Lattes (still home of the Menopausal Entrepreneur)
From here on out, Profit & Lattes is coaching-only.
We're now focused solely on supporting menopausal entrepreneurs through:
Private 1:1 coaching that doesn’t force you to choose between your business and your life…it supports both.
Group programs where you can find community with women facing similar challenges.
Self-paced courses (coming soon!) to help you navigate midlife and entrepreneurship when you're doing it solo, without a team, a coach, or even a clue where to start.
Freebies and downloads packed with the tools, scripts, and checklists I wish I had when I was in the thick of it without support.
Other resources that speak to the real issues: underpaying yourself, brain fog, nervous system dysregulation, burnout, resentment, identity shifts, and the quiet grief of realizing you're not who you used to be—and not quite sure who you're becoming.
An in-person space where you can slow down, sip a coffee, and actually breathe for a minute. Whether you’re local and need a change of scenery or just want to feel seen offline, you’re welcome here.
This is the work that lights me up.
Helping you clean up your finances is still part of it—but now it's woven into a deeper, more holistic kind of support. One that acknowledges your hormones, your mindset, your money, and your midlife as interconnected. Because they are.
If you find yourself needing a different kind of support…the kind that helps you hold your business together while holding yourself together…I'm here.
Coaching spaces are open. The new space is beautiful and ready for you. My new programs are being built.
This isn't the end of Profit & Lattes.
It's the beginning of something more honest, more aligned, and more sustainable for me—and hopefully for you too.
